The Nevada State Athletic Commission NSAC has confirmed to multiple news outlets that all fighters on the UFC 156 card passed their urine tests, the most notable fighter to pass; Alistair Overeem.Overeem returned to action after failing a previous test prior to a scheduled bout with Junior dos Santos. He lost to Antonio Silva at UFC 156 by third round KO. Passing the test is Overeem’s first step in gaining back the trust of the fans and the UFC. Unlike the other fighters at UFC 156, Overeem was required to not only do a urine test, but also a blood test. There is one weird part about his blood test results; his testosterone levels were below normal.The urine test checks for PEDS, recreational drugs, and other drugs of abuse, while the blood test checks levels of testosterone. The blood test was administered the morning after the fight, Overeem’s total testosterone came in at 179 nano grams per deciliter ng/dL.
