Freedom Fight MMA returns to Sudbury, Ontario

Sudbury, Ontario (Canada) – The Freedom Fight MMA team is excited to  announce that 7 time UFC vet Daniel NINJA Roberts will be going to war  with Freedom Fight 2006 TEAM USA winner Nuri THE SHARK Shakir on October  27 at the Sudbury arena.
Roberts was also on the popular Ultimate Fighter series produced by the UFC and trains at the famed Cesar Gracie Academy in California among other top facilities. The Ninja is known for his aggressive style that will match perfectly with the unorthodox action packed style of The Shark. Shakir made short work of his opponent at FF 2006 using a barrage of knees and flying fists and is promising much of the same when he returns to Canada to re enter the Freedom Fight cage.
Freedom Fight MMA owner Pete Rodley recently traveled to California to confirm a real treat for Sudbury’s MMA fans.  “After the last show I listened to the fans. The feedback was great and everyone loved the show but I was certainly given a challenge to bring an even better event for the follow up. Fans want to meet some HUGE UFC names and want to see a UFC vet fight in Sudbury. On October 27th one of the biggest names in the sport is coming to the Sudbury arena to enjoy the fights and to meet the best MMA fans in the world!” says an excited Rodley.
Ultimate Fighter 5 winner and top UFC contender Nate Diaz will be available to meet fans at the show and says “ Sudbury I’m coming to Freedom Fight MMA so make sure your there to say hi and watch some great fights.”
Pete continues, “ Fans also want more local talent which was very difficult for the last show because there simply wasn’t many athletes ready to go pro. We had Luc Nadeau and Chris St Jean who certainly impressed everyone.” Since the last event I have been contacted by many local fighters, some have been fighting in the states and some at an amateur level but are now ready to go pro. Therefore we have fighters from Sudbury, Orillia, Sault Ste Marie and Blind River to mix with athletes from California, Massachusetts, Montreal etc”.
